De second conditional is een if-zin in het Engels die je gebruikt om meer informatie te geven over onmogelijke en onrealistische situaties in het heden en de toekomst. Het werkwoord in de if-zin zet je in de past simple en voor het werkwoord in de hoofdzin gebruik je would + infinitief.
