De first conditional is een if-zin in het Engels die je gebruikt voor realistische situaties in het heden en in de toekomst. Je hebt een voorwaarde en het resultaat wanneer er aan die voorwaarde wordt voldaan. Het werkwoord in de if-zin staat in de present simple en het werkwoord in de hoofdzin zet je in de will-future (will + infinitief).
