De third conditional is een soort if-zin in het Engels die je gebruikt om te fantaseren over dingen die niet gebeurd zijn in het verleden. Het werkwoord in de if-zin zet je in de past perfect (simple) en voor het werkwoord in de hoofdzin gebruik je would + have + voltooid deelwoord.
